Meet the founder

Kimberly A. Nichols, MLA

Tech Founder, Cohort5102 | "The Change Translator"

Kimberly translates technical complexity into clear, human-centered language. She has spent more than 10 years leading organizational change management and strategic communications for large-scale technology implementations. She built Cohort5102 to put that same translation skill directly in the hands of teachers and parents.

The idea started in 2020, when Kimberly watched her sister manage a remote job with a young child at home, while her nephews adapted well to online learning at Kimberly's home. That showed her what home-based education can look like when a family has the right support.

Kimberly is an award-winning Prosci-certified organizational change manager and strategic communications leader. She holds a master's degree in Liberal Arts and International Studies from the University of St. Thomas (Texas) and a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Howard University.

"Moving forward with intention and purpose."
