Cohort5102 Terms of Service

Cohort5102 is a marketplace platform that connects independent, credentialed teachers with homeschooling families to form small, recurring learning pods. Cohort5102 is not a school, tutoring company, or employer of teachers, and does not provide instruction itself. Teachers are independent professionals who set their own pricing, curriculum, schedule, and instructional platform (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or another tool of their choosing).

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents/guardians create accounts on behalf of their family; children do not use or access the Service directly. Teachers must provide accurate information about their professional background and credentials.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

This is the core principle governing use of the Service:

• Credentials: Cohort5102 allows teachers to share information about their credentials, but does not independently verify, certify, or guarantee any teacher's credentials, background, or qualifications. Parents are solely responsible for independently confirming a teacher's credentials before enrolling their child, including through the guidance provided in our credential tip sheet.

• Curriculum: Cohort5102 does not select, direct, approve, or endorse any curriculum used in a pod. Parents and teachers must independently agree on curriculum and instructional materials before enrollment is finalized.

• Instructional platform: Teachers independently choose the video or instructional platform used to deliver lessons. Cohort5102 is not responsible for the availability, security, or privacy practices of any third-party platform a teacher selects.

By using the Service, parents acknowledge and accept this division of responsibility as a condition of enrollment.

Enrollment requires (a) a parent's request to enroll in a pod, including acknowledgment of the credential and curriculum terms above, and (b) the teacher's acceptance of that request. No enrollment is final, and no fees are charged, until both steps are complete.

Teachers may access the Service under one of several subscription tiers (currently Free, Pro, and Premium), each with different pod and student limits, as described on our Pricing page. Fees, billing cycles, and any applicable taxes will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

Cohort5102 may change its fees with advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a fee change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fees.

All users agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information, including about credentials or identity

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users

• Attempt to circumvent the Service to avoid applicable fees

• Misuse or attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization

Teachers additionally agree to:

• Maintain any credentials, licenses, or certifications they represent to families as current and accurate

• Comply with applicable law regarding instruction of minors, including background check and mandated reporting obligations where applicable

Parents additionally agree to:

• Independently verify a teacher's credentials before enrollment, as described in Section 3

• Supervise their child's use of any third-party instructional platform selected by the teacher

Cohort5102 and its logos, branding, and platform content are owned by 3 Stage Change, LLC and may not be used without permission. Users retain ownership of content they submit (such as profile information or messages) but grant Cohort5102 a limited license to use that content to operate and improve the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Cohort5102 makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that any teacher's credentials, curriculum, or instruction will meet a family's expectations or requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cohort5102 and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including damages related to a teacher's credentials, curriculum, conduct, or instruction, or a third-party instructional platform's performance or security. In no event will Cohort5102's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to Cohort5102 in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Cohort5102 harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Cohort5102 may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice, except where immediate termination is warranted (e.g., safety concerns, fraud, or illegal activity). You may close your account at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
